I can share what a a good friend of mine whom I served with out on tour in Afghanistan once told me when I was losing my shit. He was an ex-Para and served in the UK special forces so he was well qualified to kick my arse. He said in his blunt way, “Every dead body on Mount Everest was once a highly motivated person so maybe calm the fuck down.”
